-What kind of bond is used?
A specially formulated extension
hair bond that cannot be purchased without a cosmetologist license. It is specifically for extension and natural hair. The
bond is very strong and very reliable, but also very easy to remove when needed.
-What kind of hair is used?
100% natural human hair, that can be washed, dried and styled like your natural hair, including being curled and straightened.
I purchase high quality hair that is a perfect color match to yours.
-Does
the process hurt?
Absolutely not. The wefts are
places very close to your scalp, to last long as your hair grows and they feel secure, but not in any way painful. The adjustment
to having extensions in may be somewhat irritating or uncomfortable, but is usually adapted to and you get used to them within
a few days.
-How do I get them out or replace them?
There is an adhesive remover formulated for the bond used in your extensions,
that can be applied to your wefts, then heated and the extension pieces will slide out from your hair easily. This process
also does not hurt and is not damaging to your scalp or natural hair. To have your extensions completely removed is a time-consuming
process and special product is required. There is a $50 service fee for removing them. This fee does not apply if your appointment
is to have your extensions replaced.
-How long will they last?
After your application, the extensions will hold in your hair, with
good care, for about 6 weeks, with great care, longer. The length your extensions last, I cannot guarantee
because I am not able to see how you care for them at home. If you are not gentle, use the wrong products, or wash the extensions
more than I recommend, the adhesive will break down much quicker than it should. At that time, you may have them removed or
brought back up closer to your scalp, either with new hair or reusing the hair you already have.
There are many many things to know about extensions, and probably
tons of questions you have about them. A consultation is required before extensions can be put in to determine if you r a
good candidate. Please feel free to call me if you have any concerns or questions. I will address them and answer honestly.
